1. Introduction

PigaTech SoftCompany ("we," "us," or "our") operates the WiFiHapa platform, a WiFi hotspot management system that connects users with router owners. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our services.

By registering for or using WiFiHapa, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not register or use our services.

Our commitment

We never sell your personal data. We only collect what's necessary to provide and improve our WiFi services.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

4. Location & RSSI data

WiFiHapa uses RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) to estimate your distance from nearby routers. This is fundamentally different from GPS tracking:

  • Relative distance only (e.g., '12m away')
  • No GPS coordinates
  • Anonymized after 30 days
❌ NOT GPS
  • No street-level tracking
  • No location history outside app
5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Router owners see only anonymous usage data — never your name, email, or phone number. Payment processors receive transaction details to process payments.

8. Your rights

Under Tanzanian data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your data. Contact privacy@wifihapa.com.

9. Children's privacy

WiFiHapa is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The 'Effective Date' indicates when the policy was last revised. Your continued use indicates acceptance.
